THE doors of Hillingdon leisure and fitness centre in Gatting Way, Uxbridge, will be thrown open this Wednesday (27) for National Fitness Day.
Fusion Lifestyle, which operates the centre, wants to encourage people in the borough to join in a Barmy Army Bootcamp or Gym Challenge.
The fitness experts are offering two free evening sessions, from 7.30-8.30pm.
You can join in the bootcamp, a fun fancy dress session with a military theme, with participants encouraged to donate to Help For Heroes, or a Gym Challenge to find out who can hold the ‘plank’ position the longest (a great exercise for anyone wanting to build core strength and improve posture).
Steven Ward, CEO of UK Active said: “National Fitness Day is a fantastic chance to spotlight physical activity and the role it plays in creating a healthier nation.”
