PUPILS at Hermitage Primary School have a range of new iPads, thanks to a £2,500 donation.
The school in Belmont Road, Uxbridge, is located a short distance from Honeycroft Hill, where Annington is building a gated development, named Southside Close.
“We are very keen to support the local community and, with Hermitage Primary just around the corner, we got in touch to find out how we could help,” said Sally Parsons, property director at Annington.
“It’s a fantastic school and it was clear we could help to improve their ICT equipment. We’re delighted the donation has been used on iPads and hope they will provide more opportunities to practise much-needed IT skills.”
Hermitage head teacher Elaine D’Souza said: “ICT has become an increasingly important resource to further our children's learning and development, but it can be very expensive to provide sufficient up-to-date equipment.”
