A FREE martial arts workshop, to give people an introduction to Nippon Kempo, is being hosted by Everyone Active Acton next Wednesday (25) from 7-9pm.

The session is organised by Maciej Grzechnik, a personal trainer at Everyone Active Acton and Alistair Burns, the Acton Nippon Kempo club prefect. Head coach Luther De Gale and UK Grand Champion Paul Cooke will be leading the workshop.

The introductory session is open to male and female adults over the age of 18. After the workshop, everyone is welcome to join the club and train regularly.

Nippon Kempo is safe, practical and effective. The Japanese police and army practise it, and it is becoming increasingly popular among women there.

Everyone Active Community Development Manager Elizabeth Rice said: “We have previously hosted a free self-defence course for women, which proved very popular, and we hope to welcome even more people to try their hand at martial arts.”
