A Rotary Club held a special choir concert to raise money for and awareness of a children’s charity.
The Metropolitan Police Choir was on hand to produce a varied and enchanting performance at the St Albans Church in North Harrow.
Raising money for the NSPCC and various regional charities supported by Rotary Clubs, it was arranged by the Northwick Park branch.
The choir, led by Tom Fox and accompanied by Helen Nicholas, “sang majestically” with “energy and enthusiasm”.
It performed classics by Schubert, Mozart and Faure as well as popular melodies from Les Miserables, Moulin Rouge and Pixar films.
Rotary Club member Eric Silver described the event as a “great success” and said it was an honour to have so many esteemed guests attend.
These included the Mayor and Mayoress of Harrow, Cllr Margaret Davine and Marilyn Davine, and Rotary Scholar Lauren Cuscuna, who hails from Connecticut in the US.
