LIONEL the lurcher is hoping to find himself a new home this after having been at the Dogs Trust centre at Harefield since November 2014.

Since he arrived, 1,800 dogs have been rehomed. Now, this cheeky fellow, aged eight, is hoping to break out of his everyday routine in the kennels. He’s eager that it’s his turn to experience new adventures in his forever home.

Rehoming centre manager Richard Moore said: “Lionel is such a lovely dog and always so eager to learn. He loves his food so is an ideal candidate for further training too.

“He’d make a great addition to a family and here at the centre we really hope he bags the perfect forever home he so deserves.”

Lionel’s favourite pastimes include swimming and he uses his long nose to work out doggy puzzles and find hidden treats.

He is looking for active owners who have a calm home environment with a garden in which he can run around.

He will need understanding and patient new owners as his leaving hours will need to be built up gradually. He can live with children aged 14 and over but not with cats or small furry animals.
