As part of their Andrew Lloyd-Webber double bill, the Radlett Musical Theatre Company are calling on people to come along and see one of his lesser-known productions on the weekend of February 17 and 18.

Tell Me on a Sunday, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Don Black, was first performed in 1979 and made a name of Marti Webb.

A one-act song cycle, it tells the story of an ordinary English girl from Muswell Hill, who journeys to the United States in search of love. Her romantic misadventures begin in New York City, lead her to Hollywood and eventually take her back to Manhattan.

This show is rarely performed, simply because it takes a particular talent to pull off a one-woman show. In the past it has also starred Denise Van Outen, Jodie Prenger, Claire Sweeney, Bernadette Peters... and now Emma Stratton.

Often seen in shows across Hertfordshire, Emma first performed the show with Abbots Langley Gilbert and Sullivan Society back in October 2017, achieving standing ovations at each performance.

The show will be performed at Edge Grove School, accompanied by a live band, led by managing director Philip Joslin and directed by Julia Rufey. Guest singers also augment the first half, with popular love songs from shows.

Further information and a link to the booking site can be found at rmtc.org.uk/tmoas Following this show, RMTC will be performing Cats in March at the Radlett Centre and will then be starting to work on The Sound of Music, which will be performed at the same venue in October.
