AN Uxbridge pharmacy worker is hoping to raise £2,250 for a national charity by taking part in the London Marathon.
Toni Currie will be running the 26.2-mile course in April for Leukaemia Care, a national blood cancer charity.
The 21-year-old sales assistant and personal trainer is running in memory of her dad.

Toni said, “My dad died from leukaemia in 2013 when I was 16. The people from the cancer wards and all the different hospitals and the charity helped a lot as he was in for chemo for six weeks at a time, all during my GCSEs, and I would like to give back as much as I can.”
This will be her first marathon. So far, she has raised £900 towards her target.
If you’d like to help her, you can find her in Flora Fountain Pharmacy in Uxbridge, or head to her online giving page: https://2018-london-marathon.everydayhero.com/uk/supporting-leukaemia-research
