A BURST water pipe in an upstairs flat above the Michael Sobell Hospice charity shop in Ruislip High Street, has forced it to close until remedial work can be undertaken.

Victoria Mansell, of Michael Sobell, said: “We have to think about the health and safety of our customers, staff and volunteers at all times.

“Water has caused considerable damage to some of our stock and to the shop’s interior, including the ceiling, which came down on to the floor on Sunday morning.
“We invite our customers to consider shopping at our Northwood or Eastcote shops during this time instead and ask them to take any unwanted clothing donations to these stores, as we cannot accept any at the Ruislip shop.”
