A lane will be closed until tonight on the M25 while emergency barrier repairs are carried out following a lorry fire. 

The motorway was closed anti-clockwise at j17 from 8pm to 4.15am last night to recover a lorry which fell onto its side and caught fire.

The driver of the lorry and a car were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The lorry has been taken away but workers will still need need to carry out repairs until 10pm tonight before all lanes could be reopened.

Highways England have warned drivers to "plan ahead" to avoid getting caught in congestion during rush hour this evening.
