THE annual Carers’ Fair is being hosted by Hillingdon Council, in partnership with Hillingdon Carers and the Pavilions shopping centre, Uxbridge, to encourage carers to come forward for advice and support.
The event will mark Carers Week (June 11-17) and will be held at the Pavilions on Tuesday, June 12. 9.30am-4pm.
Many Hillingdon residents may look after a loved one but not realise they are classed as an unpaid carer.
Cllr Philip Corthorne, Cabinet Member for Social Services said: “If you look after a friend, loved one or family member who couldn’t cope without you, then you could be an unpaid carer.

“Please come along to our Carers’ Fair in Uxbridge. It is free and open to all and there is a range of stalls offering support and advice.
“Last year, the fair helped us identify 67 new carers who didn’t realise they were eligible for support.”
