COMPLETION of £3m of regeneration work in Hillingdon was marked with a ceremony at Prologis Park, West Drayton, last week.
The work, which has taken more than a year to complete, includes upgrading the canal footpath, new moorings and footpaths linking the canal to Horton Road, improving the water features on Ironbridge Road and reviving 40 acres of derelict land.
Council leader Ray Puddifoot unveiled a plaque to commemorate the lost brickfields of West Middlesex.
The plaque is mounted on a wall of bricks made by schools and the wider community.

Prologis has put up a number of information boards to explain the heritage of the area. As a further reminder, the main road on to Prologis Park is called Clayfield Way.
The developer is currently building Prologis Park, on a site which had been vacant for more than 15 years.
As part of its commitment to the area, it agreed to undertake extensive work on and off site.
