A doctor’s surgery had to close after a member of staff was attacked.
Police were called to Suthergrey House medical centre off St John’s Road in Watford at 11.25am yesterday (Tuesday) following reports of a disturbance.
It was reported that a man had entered the surgery and assaulted a staff member, who sustained minor injuries.
The surgery had to be closed so investigations could be carried out.
The medical centre has since reopened this but patients arriving earlier today were left wondering what had happened. A sign on the door reportedly said “closed due to incident”.
Witnesses reported seeing at least four police vehicles outside the centre during the incident.
A man aged in his 40’s has been arrested and he is currently in police custody.
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 316 of July 10.
