A young boy is making huge strides in London’s West End after earning a six month contract to star in a theatre play portraying one of the biggest artists the world has ever seen.

Christian Posso, who is 10-years-old is playing the lead role as Young Michael Jackson in Thriller Live, a show featuring a host of songs by the world renowned performer.

Christian, from Croxley Green, has even had a taste of what it’s like on the road having been invited on a tour of Thriller Live in Cologne where he performed at the Musical Dome in the German city, appearing eight times in just two weeks.

Despite his starring role, Christian had relatively little experience acting or singing and his mother Caroline cannot contain her pride of her talented son.

He had been involved in modelling but when mum Caroline signed her son up to a talent agency, the big break soon followed.

She said: “He has shown so much maturity in the wat he conducts himself and he seems like a professional already. He worked hard to get the role and absolutely loves the buzz. When he’s performing, he’s even signing autographs after the show.

“The show is like a pop concert and is very uplifting and energising. Christian’s hair has grown so much now that he doesn’t even have to wear a wig to play the role. The family are so proud of him.”

Christian’s teachers at Yorke Meade Primary School have all been to the boy’s shows and Caroline has acknowledged how “supportive” they have been of the pupil’s journey.

Ms Posso added: “We want him to save the money he is earning but we have let him treat himself to a laptop and Nintendo Switch.
