A company who received a royal honour for enterprise has been championed by a prominent MP.

Gama Healthcare were congratulated on July 6 by Watford MP Richard Harrington after winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Mr Harrington met with co-founders and managing directors, Dr Guy Braverman and Dr Allen Hanouka before commending and sharing lunch with the rest of the team. Their offices are based in Regal Way.

Gama Healthcare manufacture and distribute healthcare products and are the largest supplier of wet wipes to the NHS.

The company was established in 2004 by two junior doctors and has since grown to 130 employees distributing to 50 countries worldwide.

Gama received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Outstanding Short-Term Growth in overseas sales over the last three years.

Mr Harrington said: “Huge congratulations to Gama Healthcare, I’m very proud that a Watford company has received this prestigious award. I’ve no doubt that this is a testament to the hard work of founders, Guy and Allen, and the team.”

He added: “It’s fantastic that we have global companies like Gama Healthcare based here. I think they have an exciting future in Watford and look forward to supporting them as the MP.”
