The mayor visited a health service for hundreds of homeless and vulnerable people, last week.
Watford’s Meadowell, established in 2003, now the Health Inclusion Matters since 2011, addresses the needs of vulnerable people in Watford and Three Rivers.
Watford Mayor Peter Taylor visited the non-profit which is now an independent company after leaving the Primary Care Trust and taking control of its own budget and staffing.
The group says the increased flexibility has allowed them to adapt the service to address the needs of patients.
Health Inclusion Matters managing director Julie Madley said: “We were delighted to welcome Peter Taylor Watford’s Mayor to our centre to meet the dedicated team.
"We are determined to find a new home for our service and Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group.
"Our NHS colleagues have been working tirelessly to reach a solution. We are hopeful a good way forward will be found soon.”
