A masked passenger on a motorbike tried to snatch a woman’s phone not once, but twice.
The victim was walking along Theobald Street from the direction of Watling Street in Radlett on Tuesday evening with a friend when they were approached by two teenagers on a bike.
As they walked over the bridge, the woman said the passenger, who was wearing a white helmet and a black mask, made a grab for her phone. He was unsuccessful but as the women continued their walk, the same bike appeared again on the footpath and the passenger made another attempt to snatch the mobile.
The attempted robbery happened at 8.30pm.
Shaken from the incident, the women arranged to get picked up by car.
The teenagers are described as white and around 18-years-old and of skinny build. The rider was wearing a blue hoodie with the hood up and no helmet.
Anyone who saw the incident or has any information should call 101, quoting crime reference 41/19025/18.
