Baby Ballroom

An interactive family concert with West End singers. Baby Broadway brings the sound of the West End to your doorstep. The whole family can sing and dance along to songs from Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Grease, Frozen and many more. There will also be bubbles, puppetry, fun with scarves and dance moves with plenty of opportunity to sing and dance along in a relaxed, informal concert setting.

Gwen Dickey

Gwen Dickey, better known as the soulful voice of Rose Royce, comes to Watford for an exclusive show presented by Soul Box. The Mississippi-born singer - who fronted the soul-funk group between 1976 and 1980 - was the voice that shined brightly on the memorable international hits Car Wash, Wishing on a Star, and Love Don't Live Here Anymore. After leaving Rose Royce in 1980, Gwen continued to tour as a solo artist. A classic soundtrack of hits and anthems will be played on the night by MOBO award-winning DJ Steve Sutherland.

Pirate Pearl and the Big Blue Monster

Set sail on this swashbuckling high sea adventure, specially for little pirates and their grown-ups. Hop aboard the good ship Mirabel and join this rollicking adventure on the high seas. Pirate Pearl lives with her crusty old crew, Barnacle the dog and Mr Puskins the cat. One day, Pearl finds a stowaway on-board. It’s a baby monster, but, if you feed a baby monster, it grows into a big, clumsy monster. Will baby monster ever find his mummy or will Pearl be stuck with stinky nappies forever? Beauty and the Beast

Nature Reserve Open Day

This private reserve is once again opening to the general public when it holds its annual Discovery Day. The reserve is one of Rickmansworth’s hidden secrets and is home to a rich variety of wildlife including waterfowl, woodland birds, bats and butterflies. Throughout the day guided tours of the reserve will be organised by members of the Maple Lodge Conservation Society. There are two lakes and many hides to explore around the reserve.

Meraki Festival

A three-day interactive music festival with a line-up of top live music acts including All Saints, 10cc, Nik Kershaw, Pixie Lott, Judge Jules, Tall Paul, plus many more, across three stages. Country, Crafts and Steam Fair

Now in its eighth year, the Knebworth Country, Crafts and Steam Fair has something for everyone. All day entertainment will include steam engines both full size and scale, equestrienne horse stunt display team, knights of honour, medieval village, the FANY’s Historical Display Team on horseback, birds of prey flying displays, terrier racing, children’s entertainer Mario Magic, the goat show including bottle feeding lambs and kids, children’s petting pens, historical re-enactment and much more. There will also be arts, crafts, food, drink and gifts marquees as well as outside trade stands. And on there will be the Companion Dog Show so bring along a canine friend and have a go.

Watford’s Big Beach

The Parade will transform into the Big Beach for two weeks this summer providing an energetic and vibrant day out with fun activities and games for all ages.
