People are being urged to have their say on a neighbourhood plan, which will help shape their area’s future.

Those living and working in Harlesden have until September 20 to take part in a consultation organised by the area’s neighbourhood forum.

If adopted, the neighbourhood plan will dictate how Harlesden should develop over the next 15 years.

Cllr Shama Tatler, responsible for planning and regeneration at Brent Council, said it was “great to see the community come together”.

The plan outlines four development sites, including the Harlesden Plaza, alongside aspirations for better housing, transport, open spaces, environment and community facilities.

Following the consultation, a local referendum will be held. If people vote to adopt the plan, it will become a statutory planning document.

The plan can be viewed on the council’s website and comments can be emailed to planningstrategy@brent.gov.uk
