The Mayor of Watford wants people to comment on how train services can be improved ahead of a major meeting with transport bosses.

Watford mayor Peter Taylor has asked for the views of people in the town about rail services in anticipation of a meeting with London Northwestern bosses later this month.

Mr Taylor said he is keen to find out peoples’ views on frequency of service, the size of trains and the cost of travel.

The meeting this month comes after the mayor received assurances from Transport for London about an alternative to the Metropolitan Line extension.

Mr Taylor said: “Since I was elected, I’ve been working hard trying to ensure we get better buses, bikes and trains for people living in our town.

“I’m pleased to be able to meet London Northwestern to discuss how we can improve our train services in Watford. Ahead of that meeting I want to gather the views and questions of people who travel on London Northwestern trains.

“If you have suggestions on how the current service could be improved, please get in touch or complete my short survey. This will mean that I can put your concerns and views straight to bosses at London Northwestern.”
