AN Ealing school sixth form is on track to send 100 per cent of its students to university for the first time in its history.

Everyone who applied to university at Villiers High School, Southall, was successful in securing a place today.

A total of 72 per cent of A-level students achieved A* to C grades while 96 per cent achieved A* to E.

The school, established in 1907, is now rated “significantly improved from good” since the last inspection in 2018, according to Ofsted.

Head boy Roshan Khan, 18, from Hayes, said a revising technique known as the eight-hour rule helped him achieve his A, A, B grades in graphics, economics and biology respectively.

Roshan, who will study biology at Warwick University, said: “I cut down on a lot of leisure time.  I studied for eight hours every day, slept for eight hours, and then eight hours of fun time but cut down to four hours on that during exam time.”

STUDENTS at St Benedict's, Ealing, reported 73% of all entries achieving A* to B, and 41% of entries gaining A* to A.

Aine McColgan achieved 4 A*s and will read physics at university, following a gap year with Procter and Gamble.Victoria Szymanska, former deputy head girl, achieved 2 A*s and 2 As and will study medicine at St Andrew's.  Former head boy Lorcan O'Brien had an A* and 2 As and will read philosophy and theology at Oxford.

AT the Alec Reed Academy in Northolt, more than 96% of students who followed an academic pathway achieved or exceeded their target grades and will go on to university or apprenticeships.

Almost 60% achieved A*-C grades and 25% of students gained grades A*-B. The number of students taking A-level courses at the Academy has more than doubled in recent years.

ELTHORNE Park, Hanwell, reported almost three quarters of all grades awarded at A* - B and almost one quarter of A-level grades at A* - A.

Top performing students incuded Jaymin Shah, who achieved A*, A*, A in mathematics, psychology and further mathematics and Kate Wills who had A*A*A in maths, chemistry and physics.

STUDENTS at Acton High have been celebrating A-level, with more than half of this year’s cohort receiving grades A* to C for all of their subjects, while a third did so at grades A* to B.

Three are heading for Warwick University, two each for Southampton and University College London, and four for Brunel.

Among the success stories are a number of students who joined Acton High from overseas with English as an additional language during their education.
