A sixth form is celebrating a set of “outstanding” A-level results with a number of students heading off to top universities across the country.

Pupils at Bushey Meads School in Coldharbour Lane were in bright and early as they anxiously waited to find out their results. Many knew that they had already been accepted into universities but it was clear to see the excitement and nerves of how well they actually did in their exams.

Across the board, more than one in ten sixth form students at Bushey Meads achieved the highest grades of AAB or higher. Every student achieved a grade at A-level while 76 per cent of students achieved grades of C or above.

Principal at the school Jeremy Turner said: “We are once again thrilled and delighted with the outstanding success of our A Level students. The vast majority have achieved their places at some of the country’s top universities and the headline figures demonstrate that the school is continuing to provide a high quality education to students in the local area.

“I would like to congratulate and thank all the hard working and dedicated staff, students and their parents for their continued commitment and ongoing support.”
