Anyone who has had occasion to be on an Arriva bus recently is in for a treat.
And a revelation.
A far cry from the filthy, bumpy and fume-filled carts of former times, modern buses are now equipped with state of the art technology to enhance the travelling experience.
There is wifi to keep you connected on the move surfing the web or social media.
Battery going flat?
No problem: Arriva’s fleet have seats with USB charging sockets as standard.
Green technology cuts out the engine when the bus stands still at traffic lights or bus stops Environmentally conscious, it also leads to fuel saving and keeps costs down.
No longer the slow coach, bus lanes (e.g. Station Road opposite Watford Junction Station) enable the bus to surge in front so that the vehicle ahead these days is a bus.
The bus in question was a 320 which was a delightful scenic trip to Hemel Hempstead via the hamlets of Abbots Langley, Bedmond and Leverstock Green.
