A man from Watford and his ex-partner have been charged with the murder of a one-year-old girl.
Thomas Curd, 31, of Forest Road, Watford, and Abigail Leatherland, 26, of Castle Lane, Liskeard, in Cornwall, have been accused of the murder of a 22-month-old girl.
Emergency services were called to an address in Liskeard at around 12.45pm on October 5 last year where they found a young girl unresponsive. She was airlifted to Derriford Hospital, in Plymouth, but later died.
An investigation was launched by the major crime investigation team in Bodmin. The pair were charged yesterday by Devon and Cornwall Police (Wednesday).
They have both also been charged with causing or allowing the death or serious injury to a child.
The child cannot be named for legal reasons.
The defendants appeared at Bodmin Magistrates' Court today but did not enter pleas and will appear at Plymouth Crown Court tomorrow.
