A MOUND of mud and stone has been dumped in a spot in Maple Cross just days after the council had a similar load removed at a cost of £1,400.
The load was fly-tipped at the Uxbridge Road/Denham Way roundabout sometime before Sunday, November 11. A Three Rivers District Council spokesman said seven loads have already been removed.
The spokesman said: "The county council occasionally uses the location to store gravel and materials for maintenance of the highway on a temporary basis, and when lorry drivers go past they think it is a good place for fly-tipping."
