NORMAN Nunn-Price, councillor for Townfield ward, Hayes, has died aged 81.

Mr Nunn-Price, a retired scientist and magistrate, was first elected as a councillor in Hillingdon in 1994, and was leader of the Labour Group from 2002 to 2003.

Friends and colleagues at Hillingdon Council have been paying tribute to a man described as 'one of life's true gentlemen.' The Hillingdon Times has opened a book of condolence. Please leave your tributes below in memory of Norman:

Cllr Nunn-Price was a wonderful man, whose heart was rooted in the borough and those he served. In my ten years on the Council he has always been a constant part of the fabric of Hillingdon and will be sorely missed. A true gentlemen, dedicated to his beliefs although always able to see the other side of an argument, Norman was an execeptional individual and my thoughts are with his family and his friends, especially his Grandchildren, at this time. Rest in Peace.

I knew Cllr Nunn Price when he represented South Ruislip. A truly wonderful man whose heart was in what he did. Condolences to the family. May he rest in peace. He has served his people.
