THE centre of Uxbridge has been reopened after a man who was threatening to jump from the top of a car park was talked down.
Roads around the town centre were closed off for nearly eight hours after the man, believed to be around 30-years-old, was spotted standing on the top of the Cedars car park.
Motorists were trapped in the car park for several hours after police closed off the exit ramp, because the man was standing on the eighth floor, directly above it.
Police negotiators eventually managed to talk the man down just before 1am, and the town centre has since been reopened.
