A HAYES woman has had to fork out nearly £450 for trying to bill run from a cafe in Ealing.
Monika Choinska, of Brandford Waye, Hayes, admitted a charge of making off without payment and one of criminal damage after she lost her temper at the Euro Cafe, in The Mall, on Sunday, August 17.
The 26-year-old was with a 35-year-old man when they tried to leave the late night cafe without paying for £8.30 of food they had ordered.
When staff challenged them Choinska lost her temper and threw a bottle at the large window in front of the shop, shattering it and causing around £600 of damage.
The pair then ran off, and were found hiding behind a wall in Windsor Road, opposite the cafe. The man was given an adult caution by officers for making off without payment.
At Ealing Magistrates Court yesterday Choinska was ordered to pay a fine of £65 for not paying, and £125 for criminal damage.
She was also ordered to give the cafe owner £250 in compensation, and pay costs of £60, with a £15 victim surcharge.
