Police continue to appeal over Northolt crash where Hayes woman died

THE woman who died in a hit-and-run pile-up in Northolt has been named.

Frances Josephine Mullaney, known as Josie, died when her silver Volkswagen Golf was involved in a crash involving four cars in Ruislip Road, Northolt.

The 73-year-old was rushed to hospital after the crash, which happened on Sunday, October 26, but died six days later in Hillingdon Hospital.

A post mortem revealed Josie, who lived in Adelphi Way, Hayes, died from head injuries.

Cops are appealing for information about one of the car involved in the crash, a charcoal grey Toyota MR2, which sped away from the scene and was later found abandoned in nearby Woodstock Avenue.

The car, registration LS06 GBU, was stolen on October 22 from Bourne Close, Isleworth, and police are eager to hear from anyone who knows anything about the theft and where the vehicle was in the days before the crash.

Anyone with information can contact police on 0208 998 5319, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
