On-going probe into huge perfume blaze

AN INVESTIGATION into a huge warehouse fire is still ongoing almost two weeks after it brought part of South Ruislip to a complete standstill.

A full report into the inferno at a perfume warehouse in Stonefield Way Industrial Estate, is yet to be published after more than 100 firefighters tackled the blaze which rose to as high as 30ft at its peak on Friday, August 8.

Emergency services set up a 200-metre exclusion zone due to a number of exploding gas cylinders.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade said: "The investigation into the cause of the warehouse fire is ongoing. A full report will be published in due course."
