Funeral for Kajal Pabari who died in A40 crash

FAMILY and friends of a 21-year-old Sudbury woman who died in a car crash wept as they said goodbye to their “angel” today.

Relatives of Kajal Pabari gathered at the family home in Saunderton Road, leaving floral tributes to the Brunel University law student and saying prayers.

Jayesh Pabari, her cousin, said: "We just want to thank everyone for all the condolences and sympathies. Kajal's funeral went very well today.

“It still hasn't sunk in, it feels like it's a dream and I never thought I would have to do anything like this for my family."

Mourners queued up to bless the former John Kelly Girls' Technology College pupil before her coffin was taken to Hendon Crematorium.

Floral tributes arranged to spell out her name and the word “angel” lined the hearse.

Kajal died after her broken down maroon Vauxhall Corsa was hit by a breakdown truck in the slow lane of the A40, near Long Lane, in Hillingdon, on Saturday, June 20.

She was on her way to her Saturday job as a sales assistant in Uxbridge.

The driver of the recovery vehicle stopped at the scene and no arrests were made.

Kajal's family are appealing for witnesses to help the police, who are investigating the incident..

Mr Pabari said: “I just want to find out the truth about what happened, if it saves even one life.”

Anyone with information can contact the witness line on 0208 998 5319.
