THE five-mile Chenies Spring Walk and Tiptoe Through the Tulips will take place on Monday, May 7 through the Chess Valley.
Last year, the walk raised nearly £4,000 in aid of the Paul Strickland Scanner Appeal at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood.
The popular walk starts at Chenies Manor and ends at Chenies Village. Walkers will mainly use the Chiltern Trail and go through woodlands and across fields. Paul Strickland fund-raising manager Rina Rawal said: “Many walkers join us year after year and always comment on how much they enjoy the walk and beautiful views, especially the bluebells.”
She said lots of families brought picnics while others stopped at the pub along the route.
“In the next 12 months or so, we have plans for a new scanner and the funds raised from this year’s walk will help pay for it,” she added.
Advanced entry fee is £6 per person and £7 on the day but is free for under-10s. To take part, call the appeals office on 01923 844290 or email appeals@stricklandscanner.org.uk.
The walk has three short cuts but is unsuitable for pushchairs.
