Get healthy and active at Age UK Uxbridge fair
AN Age UK 60+ fair, to promote healthy living, will be held at the Pavilions Shopping Centre, Uxbridge, on Tuesday, October 9.
The borough has joined with Age UK Hillingdon to encourage older residents to discover what services are available.
Council leader and older people's champion Ray Puddifoot said: “Living a healthy, active lifestyle plays an important part in helping older people retain their independence.”
The fair will take place from 9am-5pm and will have stalls from the police and fire service, Hillingdon Road Safety team and Neighbourhood Watch.
Free health tests will be provided by the Home Health Clinic and Hillingdon Public Health, while those wishing to learn a new skill can speak to representatives from the Hillingdon Adult Education and the library service.
