MUSLIMS in London Colney are inviting the whole community to celebrate the important festival of Eid-Ul Adha with them on Saturday.
The feast marks the sacrifice of Abraham, and is the time when thousands make the traditional pilgrimage to Mecca, known as the Haj, which all Muslims must undertake at least once.
Community leader Taufiq Lodhi said: "We are inviting the local community to integrate with us, witness our tradition and see how we celebrate our Haj."
Eid ul-Adha is also known the Greater Eid because it is considered more important than Eid el-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
Festivities, including prayers and a sermon, will begin at London Colney JMI School, Alexander Road, at 6pm, with food and drinks served at 8pm.
