VOLUNTEER board members are needed to join the Hillingdon Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB).
The LSCB is responsible for child protection work in the borough.
Volunteers will act as the voice of the community and represent borough people in fullfiling a duty to protect Hillingdon's children.
Board members will need to attend and contribute to quarterly meetings, attend an annual London regional development day and two stakeholder events per year.
Those who have an interest in children’s issues, an understanding of the community and a basic knowledge of the importance of safeguarding are encouraged to apply.
The appointment is for three years and full induction, training and support will be provided. Travel and training expenses will be covered.
For more information, visit www.hillingdon.gov.uk/lscb or call 01895 277930. You can also email jgosling@hillingdon.gov.uk on how to apply.
The deadline for applications is January 31.
