ENFORCEMENT officers seized TVs from two Hillingdon properties as part of their attempts to crack down on noise disturbance.
A television, stereo and speakers were seized from one property in Boxwood Close, West Drayton, while a television was removed from another in Compton Close, Hayes.
Action was taken after the occupants ignored repeated notices of about noise throughout the past year.
The items will be held until both cases are brought to Uxbridge Magistrates Court.
A magistrate could order their permanent disposal, as well as issuing a fine to the culprits for the nuisance caused.
The move marks a step towards a council crackdown on disruptive noise, which includes loud music, noisy DIY and barking dogs.
Between April 2012 and May 2013, the Anti-Social Behaviour team received 2,890 calls relating to nuisance noise.
Councillor Jonathan Bianco, Cabinet Member for Finance, Property and Business Services, said: “Residents needn’t suffer in silence.”
