THIS coming week caters for all ages, with family music events, craft sessions for kids and charity fundraisers all taking place.

Here are my top five suggested items in the borough for under £5.

Saturday, April 5

Multi-instrument musician Sandeep Raval takes to the stage at St John’s Church as part of Northwood World Arts Programme. During a 50-minute concert with fellow musician Carolina Maggio, Sandeep will showcase some of his best songs from an illustrious career. He’ll also be taking part in a drumming circle, with a spot of audience participation from those who bring their own drum or percussion instrument. The event starts at 2pm and tickets, costing £5 each, can be bought by calling Joy Tracy at the box office on 01628 675800, or emailing northwoodarts@artreach.biz

Monday, April 7

Crafty types can head down to Ruislip Manor Library to decorate their own Easter bonnets from 2-5pm. As an added incentive, bonnets will be judged by the mayor and mayoress at the Shenley Park event on Sunday, April 13. To book your free place, see staff at the library.

Wednesday, April 9

A Sing and Sign Easter Special comes to Uxbridge Leisure Centre, Gatting Way at 10.30am. Aiming to help children between the ages of six months and two years communicate with gestures before they can actually speak, the session gets an Easter revamp with some seasonal songs and Jessie cat with her basket of goodies. Places cost £4.50 per child and can be booked by contacting Cathy Seddigh on 07712047621 or cathyseddigh@singandsign.co.uk

Thursday, April 10

Denham Country Park will be the subject of a thorough rummage today, with kids on the look-out for natural materials to create their own piece of art to take home. The 90-minute sessions run from 11am or 1.30pm, and cost £2 per child. To book, call 01895 833 375 or email sarah.hodgett@groundwork.org.uk

Friday, April 11

We’re all partial to a cup of tea or coffee, so why not do it in style with Harlington Library’s Blooming Great Big Tea Party? Starting at 2pm, all proceeds from the afternoon will go to Marie Curie.
