I have recently contacted our local MP, the Mayor of Hillingdon and also Boris Johnson as I was very keen to bring to their attention the wonderful community spirit shown by one of our local schools, Bishop Ramsey in Ruislip.
Bishop Ramsey is working collaboratively with a local judo club to help embed the Olympic legacy post games and ensure local kids have access to a minority, but nonetheless important, Olympic sport.
This is truly an example of a provider of secondary school education integrating with the community to foster a love for sport and activity.
All shows the Olympic spirit is alive and well in Ruislip...well done Bishop Ramsey. Hopefully they get plenty of credit for the wonderful support the school offers their community.
