Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul opens new Hayes film studios
CROWDS joined actor Aaron Paul in Hayes to cut the ribbon at the official opening of the newly-refurbished West London Studios.
It has been under new management since January, when it was bought by Frank Khalid, who joined the Breaking Bad star at the reopening.
Paul, who was in London for the BAFTA TV awards, said: “I love shooting here as the UK has such a rich history in film making, with some of the greatest films being made here.”
The studios, In Springfield Road, have been given a complete overhaul by the new owner, to enable the studio to accommodate both small TV productions and blockbuster movies.
Mr Khalid has been passionate about film and cinema since he was a child. This is his first venture into the industry after forging a career managing his restaurant, Chak89.
He said: “I have always had this ambition that someday I would be part of the film industry.”
The studio is currently home to BBC TV hit series New Tricks, with a number of high-profile movies scheduled to film there over the summer.
