HUNDREDS joined the fourth annual Michael Sobell Hospice Ladies in the Night walk, sponsored by Savills estate agents, on Friday.
It is the biggest event in the hospice’s fund-raising calendar and the aim is to beat last year’s £50,000 raised. So far, £26,000 has been collected, but there is a considerable amount of sponsorship money still to come in.
Walkers chose either a 5.5 or nine-mile route, starting at Mount Vernon Hospital, Northwood, with a warm-up session on the lawn followed by a moonlit walk through Northwood, Moor Park and Northwood Hills before returning to the hospice for a well-deserved breakfast.
Walkers were encouraged to dress up in pink with flashing novelties.
