MORE than 100 young people from Hillingdon were given the chance to enjoy a range of Dragons’ Den challenges, thanks to Mondelēz International, who have an office in the town.
The challenge gave youngsters aged 16 and 17 the chance to take part in summer activities designed to provide essential skills and experience for a head start in their careers.
They were split into three teams, representing charities Sebastian’s Action Trust, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and Salt Hill Care Centre.
Each group discussed strategy and budget before pitching their ideas to a panel of Mondelēz International ‘dragons’.
Judged on creativity and teamwork, all groups were awarded £200 from the charity Groundwork and an additional £50 bonus for their chosen charity.
Mondelēz comprises the global snacking and food brands of the former Kraft Foods. Brands include Cadbury and Milka chocolate, Jacobs coffee and Nabisco and Oreo biscuits. It has an office at Cadbury House, Sanderson Road.
