FAMILIES in Hillingdon can now take part in sports and activity sessions that encourage everyone to exercise together.
Hillingdon Council's Active Families sessions cost £1 for children over five and adults over 16 go free. They are designed to help increase people's fitness levels while spending time as a family.
The focus is on playing, not coaching, and all abilities are welcome. Sessions take place indoors at:
• Botwell Green Sports Centre, Hayes. Saturdays 9-10am.
• Bishop Ramsey School, Ruislip. Saturdays 2-3pm.
• Abbotsfield Secondary School, Hillingdon. Sundays 9-10am.
Howard Griffin, sports development manager at Hillingdon Council, said: "It is often the case that younger family members are encouraged to be active while parents and grandparents cheer from the sidelines.
“The nicest aspect of Active Families sessions is that everyone is able to join in the fun and feel the benefit of doing regular exercise"
There is no need to book - families can turn up on the day.
