Winners: Lee Kerr accepts the award on behalf of staff
STAFF at Wilkinson Plus in Fairfield Road, Yiewsley are delighted their brave and hair-raising (or hair-shaving) fund-raising efforts have been recognised by Cancer Research UK.
Regional manager Lee Kerr received the commendation for community corporate supporter of the year at this year’s Cancer Research UK Flame of Hope Awards.
Last year, the ten stores in Lee’s region raised £32,000 for the charity.
Kristy Farrey, 21, had her head shaved in the store, while manager Paul Coochie abseiled 130ft down Battersea Power Station.
Lee says his region’s target for next year is £100,000.
