THE efforts of volunteers in Hillingdon were honoured at the Hillingdon Volunteer Awards.
Victim Support Hillingdon won the team award and Andy Morris, of the Hillingdon Volunteer Police Cadets, the empowering young people award.
Mayor of Hillingdon Cllr Catherine Dann said: "The awards shine a light on the tireless efforts of the borough's volunteers, the people who cannot be thanked enough for their hard work, dedication and selflessness.
“Without them, important community organisations that have a real impact on local people's lives would not exist.”
The awards were organised by Hillingdon Council, in association with Hillingdon Inter Faith Network, the Association of Voluntary Services and Dovetail Community Outreach.
