SIGHT loss charity RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People) is calling on Hillingdon people to raise funds to support children at its Sunshine House School and Residence in Dene Road, Northwood.
The specialist primary school, praised by Ofsted inspectors for its “tremendously positive impact” on children and their families, is for blind and partially-sighted children aged from 2-14 who have significant learning difficulties and disabilities.
The fund-raising team at Sunshine House is holding a drop-in supporter evening on Wednesday, February 11, 4.30-7pm when people can meet volunteers and see how they can make a difference to the school.
Carol McKinlay, area fund-raising manager, based at Northwood, said: “Sunshine House is a stimulating and fun environment where our children, who also have significant difficulties and disabilities, can develop and grow.”
Anyone wishing to attend should register their interest with Carol by calling 07775 852539 or e-mailing her at carol.mckinlay@rnib.org.uk
