HILLINGDON is the only London borough to be chosen to represent the capital at Britain in Bloom 2015.
Following its success at the London in Bloom awards last year, when Hillingdon achieved gold status and was overall winner in the Large City category, it will enter the same category at this higher competition level.
The borough was also awarded the Silver-Gilt award in last year's Britain in Bloom.
Britain in Bloom is organised by the Royal Horticultural Society and is one of Europe's largest horticultural campaigns.
The story of Britain in Bloom began in 1964 when the tourist board wanted a way to market the country through floral displays.
Judging will take place in the summer.
