DETECTIVES have named the victim of a murder in Vine Lane, Hillingdon, and released a description of the suspect as they continue their appeal for witnesses and information.

They are satisfied the victim is 38-year-old father of three Redwan El-Ghaidouni, a car dealer, of Vine Lane.

Det Chief Insp Noel McHugh said: "At this stage there is every indication this was a targeted act and not in any way random.

"We are very keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed, or has information concerning, the death of Redwan in these most violent of circumstances.

"Anyone who assists can be assured that any contact they make will be treated in the strictest of confidence."

On Tuesday, police were called shortly before 7pm to Vine Lane, at the junction with St Andrew’s Lane, following reports of a shooting.

They found a 38-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

It is believed the victim was inside his parked car on the driveway of his home when he was approached by a lone male suspect.

A number of shots were fired into the vehicle before the killer made off on foot through an alleyway which leads to Saunders Road, before running off in the direction of Honey Hill.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a dark hooded top with a large motif on the front, light coloured bottoms, dark gloves and dark shoes or trainers.
