SIX candidates who wish to represent Hillingdon at the UK Youth Parliament in 2015-16 will soon find out if they have done enough to be elected.
Hillingdon Council has organised visits to schools over the past few weeks to give candidates the opportunity to canvass for votes.
From Monday to Friday next week, young people aged 11-18 who live or go to school in the borough will be able to have their say.
The two candidates who win the most votes will become the borough's UK Youth Parliament members in 2015-16, with the third taking on a deputy role.
Young people can visit young.hillingdon.gov.uk and follow the Youth Parliament link to read each candidate's manifestos.
They can then vote online on www.mi-vote.com using the voting code they received from school.
The candidates are: Dilani Selvanathan, 15, from Queensmead High School, South Ruislip; Anurag Mathur, 16, of Ruislip High School; Kameal Ahmed, 17, of Abbotsfield Sixth Form, Hillingdon; Talin Aslanian, 16, of Bishop Ramsey Sixth Form, Ruislip; Amal Ahmed, 17, of Swakeleys Sixth Form, Ickenham; and Melissa Braithwaite, 16, of Douay Martyrs Sixth Form, Ickenham.
