HILLINGDON women are being urged to make a date to beat cancer this Valentine’s Day by signing up for Race for Life.
Race for Life is running a 5k event at Hillingdon House Farm Sports Ground on Sunday, June 7.
Last year, more than a thousand women took part in the event in Hillingdon and raised £92,011. This year, organisers want to reach out to 1,200 participants in the hope of breaking the £100,000 mark.
Cancer survival rates have doubled since the 1970s and Cancer Research UK’s work has been at the heart of that progress.
However, more funds and more supporters are needed to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
To enter the race, call 0300 123 0770 or visit raceforlife.org
