MORE than a dozen Hayes optical staff took to Hyde Park for a sponsored walk in support of Red Nose Day, raising £105.
Fifteen eyecare specialists from Specsavers in Hayes collected sponsorship in the Botwell Lane store and trekked 5k around the park in aid of the appeal.
Irinder Khakha, ophthalmic director at Specsavers, Hayes, said: “We wore our Red Nose Day specs with pride and, thankfully, the British weather gave us a thumbs up."
Visitors to Specsavers can also get into the spirit of Red Nose Day and make their faces funny with Red Nose Day glasses, in sizes large and small, for just £3, with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Specsavers in Hayes has joined its other stores nationwide to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives here in the UK and across Africa.
