STUDENTS from Pield Heath House School were able to set up a Mother’s Day gift stall in The Pavilions shopping centre, Uxbridge, on Tuesday.
As part of the Young Enterprise Programme, older students have a company called Gold Stars.
They make and sell a range of gifts, including cards, calendars, gift bags, purses and decorated china.
This helps them to learn practical, commercial and communication skills. All money raised is put back into the company to buy materials, and any excess funds are donated annually to a charity of their choice.
Pield Heath House in Pield Heath Road, Uxbridge, is a non-maintained school for children and young people aged 7-19 with moderate to severe learning needs and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including ASD.
